Reviews and Ratings Extension for Groups / Communities Plugin enables users to rate and write reviews for groups. The rating system is categorical and attractive. Nicely designed interface for seeing ratings and reviews provides good user experience.
Ratings:
- Rating parameters based on group categories: This enables users to give accurate opinions. Site admin can configure the rating parameters for various categories.
- Overall rating and rating on various parameters.
Reviews:
- Well structured reviews.
- Pros and Cons fields: Easily highlight the good and bad experiences of reviewers.
- Main review contains title and description.
- Members can mention if they would recommend the group to someone.
Viewing Ratings & Reviews:
- Reviews tab on Group Profile shows average overall and parameter based ratings, and the percentage of reviewers who recommend the group. It also lists the various reviews in brief.
- Main review group shows a review in detail.
- Ratings widget shows average overall & parameter based ratings, and the percentage of reviewers who recommend the group.
- Widgetized main review group enables you to configure its layout and widgets from the Layout Editor.
Searching & Filtering Groups:
- In "Groups / Communities Plugin", admin can customize search fields in the Search Form. Following fields related to reviews and ratings are available to users for searching and filtering:
- "Only Groups with Reviews": Ability to Search over only Groups having reviews.
- "Most Reviewed" and "Highest Rated": Ability to Browse By / Filter Groups based on number of reviews and overall ratings.
Browsing & Searching:
- Widgetized Home & Browse pages for Group Reviews:
- Enable you to collectively display Group Reviews from all Groups in attractive manner.
- Group Reviews Home contains many attractive widgets and provides a great landing page for Group Reviews of your community.
- You can choose to place links for these groups in the Main Groups Navigation Menu and can also choose to place the respective links for these groups in your site header navigation menu or in any other menu of your choice.
- This feature is very useful if Group Reviews are important to your site's concept.
- Integration with SocialEngine's in-built search engine.
- Search Form widget for Group Reviews: Enables searching and filtering over Group Reviews.

- AJAX Tabbed Reviews widget: This tabbed AJAX widget concisely shows important information about reviews in 3 tabs: Recent, Popular, Top Reviewers. Admin can choose criteria for popularity amongst Views, Likes, Comments, etc.

Miscellaneous:
- Users can 'Like' the reviews that they find useful.
- Users can comment on reviews.
- Group entries on Groups Home and Browse Groups show Reviews count along with Views, Likes, etc.
Administration:
- Enable / disable pros and cons for reviews.
- Enable / disable "recommended" field for reviews.
- Configure and manage rating parameters for the various categories of groups.
- Grant Member Level based permissions for reviewing and rating Groups on site.
- Widget Settings exist in Layout Editor, thus enabling widgets to be placed multiple times on a group with different settings for each placement.
- Choose which photo should be shown next to reviews in the various widgets and pages: Reviewer's Photo, or Group's Photo.
- Manage Ratings & Reviews for Groups
- Mark quality Group Reviews as Featured Review and Review of the Day.
